I use these 14-inch square Mac's Wicked-generic microfiber towels several times per week for all kinds of tasks.
They are not fancy, are brightly-colored and cheap-as-they-come yet they get the job done nicely.
I use the bright orange ones for exterior auto tasks, the yellows are for interior wipe-downs and the blues are for dark rubber and plastic trim items that usually make 'em turn blue/black.
The microfiber terry fabric is ultra-soft and won't scratch or swirl. They grab dust better than any rag or towel since the beginning of recorded history and they won't mar your carefully coated surfaces!
You can use them, toss them into the washer and tumble dry them on low, or just hang 'em in your garage like I do. These things are soft, but they are tough and will last for a very long time.
At a buck apiece, you can't go wrong, but be sure to buy several so it's worth the shipping cost.
